Activities at Oaksey Village Hall

Oaksey Village Hall hosts a wide range of regular events, classes, and community activities throughout the year. From fitness and wellbeing sessions to social groups and special events, there is something for all ages to enjoy. This page gives you an overview of what’s currently taking place in the hall. Norma Liversidge has been teaching Pilates since 2009.  She has taught various forms of fitness classes but discovered the  benefits of Pilates when rehabilitating a back injury.  She completed her comprehensive Pilates training though Polestar and has since been a keen advocate and teacher of the method.

Yoga 2024 Poster

Jess Thomas specialises in Vinyasa Flow and pregnancy yoga. She has taught private individuals and group classes in gyms and yoga studios in London before moving to Oaksey. Her classes are specifically designed to be open to all levels of experience from beginner to advanced and they incorporate breathing and meditation techniques to encourage mindfulness and positive mental health as well as the physical benefits of yoga practice.

Clare offers Karate classes to children of different ages. Please contact her for more information.Clare Edwards, through a lifetime of hard work, has become both a teacher and an example of what can be accomplished when desire is combined with determination. Sensei Clare enjoys the challenges and rewards of teaching PeeWee & Tiger Kid’s karate which develops values such as discipline and perseverance in a happy and fun environment. BKI 2nd Dan Karate & Kobudo & Tai Chi Sifu.

Paul Vermiglio with a wealth of 47 years’ experience in the fighting arts of Karate, Kobudo, Ju-Jitsu and Tai Chi Chuan is a student of Akamine Hiroshi Sensei in Okinawa and holds senior ranks in both Karate & Kobudo. Sensei Paul lived in Okinawa for 5 years and is fluent in Japanese. He is the founder of the BKI.

We are lucky enough to have Knead on Wheels visiting us on alternate Sunday mornings with delicious pastries, bread and coffee.
